When we really want a frigging breakthrough already, on a challenge in our lives... or we're hoping for an epiphany that will finally bring us some clarity on what to do about something...
I suggest the swiftest way to make it more likely (often within days) has a lot more to do with our body than our head. This is why somatic (body-based) meditations are woven through the 'brain-work' inside the Big Dream Program for folks figuring out what they're doing next in their lives.
For instance, I've got a 4-part lifewalk meditation in here that MOST graduates told me was the #1 thing that brought them the most clarity.
It's not because of ME, it's because of THEM: instead of listening to me waffling on with my ideas, their own mind / body / instincts showed them the way... within an hour. Things that they'd been trying to 'see' for years.
When folks say 'the solution is inside us'…
I believe they're often right. So long as we're not ONLY looking in our brain for the thing.
My 18 yrs experience with clients: Some solutions we just can't get to unless some part of our body lets us. (from the video - that part is in a 'flap' and can't see it)
GREAT EXAMPLE: that I forgot to share it in the video due to being in a 'flap' about the TWO baby turtles 😜…
I joined a QiGong class, with the amazing Claire Turner Reid a while back. Every time I went to her fantastic class on Friday morning—and moved my body in strange ways while relaxing parts of me that were chronically tense—I had a breakthrough in writing my book by Sunday. On things I'd been stuck on how to write for months before I joined her class.
Every. Single. Time.
Every time.
Bottom line:
(if you think what I’m saying could be at least worth experimenting with, to see if it's true for you):
1️⃣ Move your body in LOTS of ways—ways that are unusual for you, loosen things up.
2️⃣ Get to know the inside of your body better than you ever have in your whole life. (I suggest somatic / body-awareness meditation)
3️⃣ See what happens.
If it doesn't work, then at least I tricked you into some exercise and meditation. Not a total loss. If I'm right...
